Noise Complaints in Chelsea, Health Inspection Grades and Cupcake Eating Contest
During the open house, our visitors admired the clips on the Newsroom bulletin board. Here are some of the latest candidates for posting:
- Igor Kossov wrote about the city’s plans to slash all-day Kindergarten slots at day care centers. His piece got some nice play in The Queens Courier.
- Marcella Veneziale wrote about growing noise complaints in Chelsea for Chelsea Now. Meanwhile, her story about the potential impact of a proposed outdoor advertising law on some historic districts made the News Service.
- Mike Reicher chronicled how the city’s plan to start posting health inspection grades in restaurants could hurt mom-and-pop cafes. You’ll find his article in City Limits.
- Jim Flood wrote for The Local about skepticism generated by the new Fulton St. BID . Ben Fractenberg helped bring together this community blogger about a local food co-op.
- Aisha Al-Muslim’s story about Costco, asthma and East Harlem made the Daily News. See the attached pdf.
- Aisha was joined in the Daily News this week by Joel Schectman, who had some fun with this brite about a very hungry yoga instructor. Maria Clark, meanwhile, hit the streets to find some bargains in Co-op City. Sergey Kadinsky got a tag line on this story about a triple shooting at a barbeque.
Congrats to all – and keep ‘em coming!
