City Hall and The Capitol, monthly publications covering city and statewide politics and policy in New York, are looking for summer (June-August) interns. Interns will have excellent opportunities to write and get involved and get many articles published in print and online. Expect firsthand interaction with elected officials and much interaction with our editors to hone your reporting and writing skills.

Some knowledge of New York politics is recommended, but most important is interest and industriousness.

These will be far from the average internship: we are looking for responsible, trustworthy, capable interns eager to write and help our publication function.

Interns will be expected to work a minimum of three days a week.

Internships are unpaid, but will provide great, hands-on experience for college students interested in politics and/or writing.
