CUNY SPJ & Deadline Club: Host Preview of “The Media”
Join us and Neal Cortell, veteran financial television journalist, for a preview of his political-news documentary, “The Media” on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The film, still in progress, examines the corporate control over news and the uncertain future of journalism on the Internet. The documentary is narrated by Dr. Bill Baker, president emeritus of New York City public television, and was produced and directed by Cortell, who has directed national financial programs and daily economic reports for ABC, FOX and PBS. Cortell will screen portions of the film and take questions from the audience.

Cost: FREE for CUNY Graduate School of Journalism Students and Deadline Club/Society of Professional Journalist members, $10 for non-members.
