The Class of ’10 is following the Class of ‘09’s lead in producing the clips/links. Some of the latest examples:

  • Kerri MacDonald’s story about arts education and the debut of the Frank Sinatra high school’s new home in Astoria made the Queens Courier.
  • Jessica Dailey’s story about the city’s latest student-designed playground found a home in the Brooklyn Eagle.
  • Megan Finnegan’s article about actress Julia Stiles, who is set to make her Broadway debut in “Oleanna,” is featured in Irish Central.
  • Ines Bebea’s post about a community mural on Myrtle Avenue made The New York Times’s Local site. Damiano Beltrami took some pictures for a Local photo project, including this shot of a cat named Sally Jean. Jim Flood, meanwhile, offered a picture of a dog walker taking an ice cream break.
  • Speaking of The Times, Kristen Joy Watts contributed a couple pieces to the Lens photo blog, including this post about a photographer who went from taking pictures of bounty hunters to chronicling the fashion world.
  • Jenni Avins interviewed chef David Chang for Saveur.
  • Xiomara Martinez-White wrote about Kate Gosselin’s new talk show for The Frisky.
  • Jessica Simeone shared a byline on this New York Post piece about the Second Avenue Subway’s latest snag.
  • Maya Pope-Chappell wrote about the death of Manson Family killer Susan Atkins for NBC Local Integrated Media. Emily Feldman, meanwhile, contributed a story about the end of Brooklyn, or rather, Breukelen.
  • Kate Nocera, working for the Daily News, covered the hit-and-run killing of a 12-year-old girl in Brooklyn. Mark Morales shared a byline on a story about Christmas in September.
  • Michael Preston wrote about the recent slaying of a Census worker in Kentucky for True/Slant.

In our Alumni Corner, Nadia Zonis (’07) is taking questions this week at The Times City Room blog about her new book, “City Walks With Dogs: New York.”

Shuka Kalantari (’08) has been busy at work for KQED’s website. Check out this audio slideshow about a health inspector in San Francisco.

Congrats to all – and keep ‘em coming.
