Video Editing Workshop

As a follow up to his last workshop on “Making the Most of Your Visuals,” our broadcast coach Wonbo Woo will be teaching a special skills session on video editing.

It will take place on Thursday, April 8th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 330.

Here’s the description:

What’s the key to producing a great piece? Recognizing
good material, using sound well, and being flexible in the edit room.
Come learn to be a producer. We’ll screen tape, talk about writing
to picture, and put together a spot in real-time, with me as your
editor and you as producers. We’ll tweak sequences, finesse audio, and
explore ways to maximize rhythm and pacing in an edit.

NOTE: This is not a workshop on Final Cut techniques. We’ll be talking
about the craft, not the technical aspects, of editing.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to amy.dunkin@journalism.cuny.edu or wonbo.woo@journalism.cuny.edu.
