•Andrea Swalec’s feature for Reuters out of Brussels is guaranteed to make you crave pommes frites.

•Annie Byrnes’ video profile of an animal rescuer dubbed the squirrel whisperer made The Wall Street Journal’s site.

•Speaking of The Journal, Erin McCarthy’s dispatch out of Santiago about the rebound of the Chilean banking sector found a home in the paper.

•Courtney Carter worked on this ABC News piece about sports reporter Erin Andrews’ call for tougher anti-stalking laws.

•Colby Hamilton’s story about a New York summer political rite – trying to knock rival candidates off the ballot – was featured in City Hall news. Katie Honan, meanwhile, wrote about how a Wal-Mart success in Chicago might help the chain break into the New York City market.

•Over at NBC Local Integrated Media, Juan DeJesus wrote about the millionaires of New York, while Maria Eugenia Miranda reported on a protest by community garden advocates.

•Shane Dixon Kavanaugh’s article for The Oregonian about an electric drag racing car got big pickup.
