Vincent Trivett Wins Business Journalism Scholarship from NY Financial Writers
Business concentration student Vincent Trivett has won a $3,000 scholarship from the New York Financial Writers Association.
The organization awarded 10 scholarships to New York area students interested in careers in business and financial journalism. The other winners were students at Columbia and NYU.
Trivett, who has just completed his second semester at the CUNY J-School, is a graduate of Rutgers who has spent time teaching English in Japan. He will be working this summer as a paid intern at the Business Insider, the fast-growing online news operation founded by Internet entrepreneur Kevin Ryan and former Wall Street analyst Henry Blodget.
He will receive his award at the NYFWA event at the CUNY J-School on June 6.
