The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism has launched Voices of NY, a redesigned and renamed website to showcase great work being done by local and multicultural publications around the city and by our students.

The Voices of NY platform is the new face of Voices That Must Be Heard, the award-winning online publication that features the best work of New York City’s community and ethnic media. The new site allows for more multimedia content, plus in-depth, broader coverage by New York’s diverse ethnic and community news operations.

The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, which manages the site, will build new partnerships and extend existing relationships, with the aim of encouraging more content-sharing. In the near future, Voices of NY hopes to begin producing original content, particularly about issues that transcend multiple communities.

Voices of NY is part of the J-School’s efforts to establish a center for community and ethnic media to support a vital journalistic sector in New York.
