Almudena Toral, ’10, Wins Award of Excellence for Videos for Time and The New York Times
Pictures of the Year International (POYi) has given its Multimedia Photogapher of the Year Award of Excellence to CUNY J-School alum Almudena Toral for four videos that ran on either TIME.com or The New York Times website.
The videos were “An Afghan Girl’s Quest for Education” (TIME), “Life, Interrupted: A Guarded Optimism” (The New York Times), “History of Violence: Struggling with the Legacy of Rape in Liberia” (TIME), and “Dishing New York” (The New York Times).
Toral, a native of Spain, was in the Class of 2010.
