Crucial to a business journalism career are internships that provide advanced training and the opportunity to generate clips. Working with Career Services, the business concentration professors identify internships and use their connections to assist students in landing them. In the last two years, students have worked at Bloomberg News in Singapore, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Crain’s New York Business, the New York Daily News, WNYC, the Business Insider, and The Star-Ledger in Newark, NJ. Students can pursue internships after graduation that often lead to full-time positions, following their predecessors at places like Bloomberg and the Associated Press.
The business concentration also works with Career Services in helping students land full-time jobs. Graduates currently work at Bloomberg (6), The Wall Street Journal (2), the Houston Chronicle, The Associated Press, and Crain’s New York Business, to name only four.
