The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism is an Apple-only facility. Students are required to own:

  1. Apple laptop (See our Recommended System Options)
  2. Media Drive
  3. Archive Drive
  4. SDHC memory card
  5. Smartphone

The estimated cost of a laptop, based on our minimum systems requirements will be approximately $2,000 plus taxes where applicable. This price includes the CUNY Apple discount and two additional years of warranty (Apple Care). The cost of an external hard drive and SD card will vary depending on the size, manufacturer and type.
