As we have suggested earlier, please consider the purpose of your laptop during school and beyond before you make your purchase. Depending on those goals, you might want to consider a laptop that will give you the high performance when handling large amounts of media. A solid state hard drive will make a dramatic improvement in performance across all applications, however the costs are high for a relatively small amount of storage. Upgrading the processor will show an improvements in almost all applications. More RAM will improve responsiveness when multitasking, not having enough RAM will cause your system to slow down and even “stall”. For those of you who will be using professional applications, you’ll want to anticipate the hardware requirements of future software releases.
