Mintz, Anne – Adjunct Faculty, Craft/Research

Anne Mintz is a freelance researcher who spent over 20 years at Forbes Media developing information resource training for reporters, market research analysts, and other knowledge workers on staff. She has also been an instructor in online research at the Columbia University Graduate School of Library and at various seminars for electronic information retrieval. She helped develop and implement an online index to Forbes publications and has managed both sides of relationships with information providers, as subscriber and as content provider. She was the recipient of the 2009 Professional Award from the Special Libraries Association and was interviewed in 2008 by NOW on PBS about intentional misinformation on the Internet, the subject of her 2002 book, Web of Deception: Misinformation on the Internet (Cyberage Books). Mintz has an MLS from Rutgers University and a B.A. from University of Massachusetts.
