Benítez, Juan Manuel – Adjunct Faculty, Broadcast News Writing & Production

Juan Manuel Benítez is a NY1 Noticias political anchor/reporter. He produces and hosts “Pura Política,” a weekly political talk-show. He has also hosted “Viva Voz,” an interview-based program on the Spanish-language network V-me. Benítez co-writes “Política Pop,” a bilingual blog on politics and pop culture. He was previously a print reporter for Hispanic Market Weekly, and a field producer for Discovery Channel and MSNBC documentary projects. He holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. in Anglo-German Language and Literature from Universidad de Extremadura, Spain. Benítez is a La Caixa fellow.
