Erik Bierbauer is a litigation counsel at the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.  A former journalist, Bierbauer litigates for and advises news organizations, journalists, and non-profits. His practice also includes complex civil litigation, white collar defense, and government and regulatory investigations. Much of Bierbauer’s practice is international.

Bierbauer received a J.D. magna cum laude from New York University, where he was a member of Order of the Coif and an Articles Editor on the New York University Law Review. He received an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. cum laude from Cornell University.
