Mark Winston Griffith is a nationally recognized expert on economic justice, community reinvestment, and urban policy issues. He has served as the executive director of several leading nonprofit policy organizations in New York City, and was a candidate for the New York City Council in 2009. He has also been a Revson Fellow at Columbia University, a Next Generation Leadership Fellow at the Rockefeller Foundation, and an Open Society Institute Community Fellow. His articles and essays have appeared in many publications, including The New York Times, the New York Daily News, the Village Voice, and the Gotham Gazette. He has a BA from Brown University and an MA from the University of Ibadan (Nigeria.)
