Randi Hutter Epstein is author of Get Me Out: A History of Childbirth from the Garden of Eden to the Sperm Bank. She worked as a medical writer for the London bureau of The Associated Press and was the London bureau chief of Physicians’ Weekly. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Daily Telegraph, Parents, More, and Harper’s Bazaar, among other publications.
She earned a B.S. from The University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. from the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University; an M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine (though she never practiced medicine), and an M.P.H. from the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. She lives in New York City with her husband and four children.
