Gersh Kuntzman is the collaborative editor of The Local, an innovative hyperlocal news site covering Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn that is run by the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in partnership with The New York Times.

Prior to joining The Local in January 2012, he served as editor-in-chief of The Brooklyn Paper and Brooklyn Courier. He has also worked as a reporter for the New York Post and written an online column for Newsweek during his two-decade career in journalism. He is a graduate of Brown University, where he majored in Russian Literature and Language.
