Colleen Long is a law enforcement reporter with The Associated Press, where she has covered some of the biggest stories in the city, including the Hudson River plane crash, Times Square car bomb, arrest of former International Monetary Fund leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn, and several federal and state trials.
She has worked for the AP for more than a decade as both a reporter and editor, covering national and international breaking news such as drug wars in Mexico and the Gulf oil spill, for which she and other AP staffers won a George Polk award. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in journalism and English.
