Monica Morales has been a general assignment reporter at WNBC Channel 4 in New York City for the past five years, covering breaking news, features, and investigative stories in the tristate area. Previously, she focused on immigration issues. She won a National Emmy for Breaking News and an Edward R. Murrow Investigative Journalism Award. She has also garnered several community-based honors, including a Casita Maria Special Appreciation Award for coverage of the Hispanic community, a TRISCORT Award from the Tristate Catholic Committee on Radio and TV, and a Circle of Giving Award from the New York Foundation for Senior Citizens. She has worked for Fox News in Boston, NBC in Miami, CBS in Milwaukee, and CNN in Atlanta. Morales has a B.S.C. in broadcast journalism and psychology from the University of Miami and an M.M.C. in telecommunications and TV production from the University of Florida School of Journalism and Communication.
