Twomey, Steve – Adjunct Faculty, Narrative Journalism

Steve Twomey won a Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing in 1987 for a profile of life aboard an aircraft carrier. He worked for nearly three decades as a reporter and editor in the U.S. and abroad for The Washington Post, San Jose Mercury News and The Philadelphia Inquirer. He served as a national correspondent, foreign correspondent, beat reporter, projects editor and columnist. Twomey’s most recent article, an account of illegal trafficking in Civil War documents, appeared in the April 2008 issue of Smithsonian magazine. He has a B.S. in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
