Brooke Bizzell Stachyra is the new alumni services director at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, responsible for managing the relationship with the more than 500 graduates of the school’s three master’s degree programs.
She is a journalist and communications and marketing specialist, with experience in television (NBC News), magazines (People), and digital media (IVillage.com).
For the past two years, she has worked with the American Cancer Society on the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign, handling social media and recruiting businesses and teams for the annual walk.
Among her duties will be organizing alumni events, such as class reunions and panel discussions; providing job-search assistance to graduates, and maintaining an alumni database with employment and contact information.
She succeeds Marisa Osorio, who oversaw alumni relations at the CUNY J-School for more than three years.
