The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism has hosted the Knight CUNYJ Summer Internship Program since 2015.
Made possible by a $1.2 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the program allows us to bring 20 aspiring journalists of color to the school in July and August to receive digital-media training and participate in journalism internships.
This all-expenses-paid opportunity includes round-trip travel and dormitory housing for Fellows who don’t live locally, a monthly MetroCard for public transportation, and a $3,000 stipend for any unpaid internship.
At the end of each summer, five fellows are offered full-tuition scholarships to earn an M.A. in Journalism at the CUNY J-School if they apply and are admitted.
