Taking great photos is one thing. Editing photos — your own work and the work of others — is another. Too often good photographers edit poorly and do not present their best work to editor when on assignment and in a portfolio.
This workshop, taught by a professional photo editor, will show you how to better edit work to tell the story you want to tell. From a single-image social media post to complex magazine-quality photo essay, a strong edit can make an otherwise ordinary story magical. This workshop will help photographers better understand how editors think and what are looking for from photographers they hire. It is also intended as an introduction to a career in photo editing. The ability to think visually and edit photos well is a marketable skill.
