Voices and Perspectives in Conflict

Course Details

“Voices and Perspectives in Conflict” introduces students to people on all sides of issues, including those whose voices are not often heard: Unlettered and unseen Americans who live on the fringes and are on the receiving end of journalism. Our reporting trips take us to places where these receiving-end people live and work. We ask, “What do you make of how your issues are covered by reporters and editors?” We listen to their answers. We function as anthropologists and explorers of cultures about which too many reporters know too little.
