DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, March 26\, join us for a town hall discussion centering on the perspectives and expertise of publishers and journalists in Asian media\, serving diverse Asian American audiences across the country. The event is sponsored by the Center for Community Media at the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. \nREGISTER HERE \nThe brutal attacks in Atlanta were the latest in an escalating crisis of racist anti-Asian violence toward the many and diverse Asian American communities across the U.S. At the same time\, Asian Americans have faced disproportionate infection and death from COVID-19\, manning the front lines as healthcare and other essential service workers\, and have seen tremendous economic hardship with the loss of community-owned businesses since the beginning of the pandemic. \nCommunity-based media for and by Asian Americans have served their communities throughout these devastating\, converging crises.
