DESCRIPTION:Some of the most memorable and impactful investigations of recent years have been data journalism—not just journalism done around pre-existing datasets\, but wholly new datasets created by reporters and news organizations themselves. \nThis masterclass presented by Journalist-in-Residence Wesley Lowery will explore how to identify targets and then build and mine journalist-created data sets. There is no better example of the practice than the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fatal Force\, the groundbreaking Washington Post project that Wesley was instrumental in launching. \nThe masterclass on Nov. 16\, from 5-6 p.m. in Room 308\, will be followed by a reception in the café. \nREGISTER HERE.
