SUMMARY:Newmark Film Festival Short Docs 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY’s 2025 Short Docs screening showcases the work of students graduating from the documentary program.  Come and watch their final capstone films which are a compelling array of short documentaries that highlight diverse stories\, powerful voices\, and pressing issues. This annual event takes place at Newmark and provides an opportunity to witness how these emerging documentarians and visual journalists harness their storytelling skills to create deeply researched and visually engaging films. These documentaries reflect the filmmaker’s unique vision\, spotlighting untold narratives and featuring local communities\, global issues and stories of resilience and change. The screenings will be followed by Q&As with each filmmaker and a reception in the cafe. \n\nTo secure a ticket below\, registrants must provide their full first and last name(s)\, including for any guests. Incomplete or partial information will result in the cancellation of the ticket reservation.
