Latino voters make up 15 percent of the U.S. electorate and are expected to play a pivotal role in this year’s presidential race and congressional, state and local elections. The political power of Latinos — the second-largest voting bloc in the United States — has increased with each election and this year some 36 million Latino voters are eligible to vote.

The panel discussion will feature Democratic strategist Chuck Rocha and Republican consultant Mike Madrid. The conversation and Q&A will be moderated by Noticias Telemundo’s Arantxa Loizaga. The evening will begin with opening remarks from Graciela Mochkofsky, dean of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
