DESCRIPTION:In a conversation with John Smock\, director of the school’s photojournalism department\, Andrew Harnik will share his experiences covering Washington D.C. — from the Jan. 6th siege to the lives of everyday people in the nation’s capital. \nA native of D.C.\, Harnik has been based there since 2003 for the Associated Press with assignments that have taken him around the globe with top U.S. diplomats as well as across the country covering the presidential campaigns of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. \nHe has been recognized with awards from the Photos of the Year International\, the National Press Photographers Association’s Best of Photojournalism competition\, and the White House News Photographers Association. \nThis event is open only to the Newmark J-School community. \nREGISTER HERE \nRead this brief interview with Harnik about Jan. 6.
