Alana Pipe is a data journalist specializing in data visualization and interactive graphics. A data reporter for Financial Times trade publications FundFire and Agenda, her work involves a range of data skills from scraping to analyzing to visualizing data, as well as interviewing sources and writing the story. Her coverage areas include the world of institutional investors, asset management, and corporate governance.
Alana graduated in 2017 with an M.A. in Journalism from the Newmark J-School, where she first learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. She also holds a B.A. in English Literature from McGill University and calls Vancouver, British Columbia home.
