Amy Dunkin joined the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in January 2008 after a long career as a magazine and newspaper reporter and editor.
A member of the Dean’s management team, she oversees the school’s human resources activities, edits the website, handles accreditation-related matters, writes diversity reports, and serves as Title IX Coordinator.
Amy came to CUNY from BusinessWeek magazine, where she supervised the personal finance and lifestyle coverage; founded one of its first blogs, Working Parents; managed the summer internship program, and led a successful campaign for company-wide paid adoption benefits.
Prior to that, she was a municipal and business reporter for The Record newspaper in northern New Jersey.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York’s University at Buffalo with a B.A. in English and was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper.
