Anthony LaViscount joined the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in July 2019. He has more than 17 years of experience in higher education, having worked in student activities and residence life at New Jersey Institute of Technology, SUNY’s Stony Brook University, and Monmouth University, among other schools.
His work has touched on a wide range of student-related areas, including new-student orientation, diversity and inclusion, academic advising, graduate student governance, mentoring, and educational and social programming. He has also taught credit-bearing freshman seminar and student leadership courses.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in history and political science, and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in education, from Stony Brook University.
