Frances Solá-Santiago is a bilingual journalist and producer whose writing and video work centers on fashion, culture, and Latinx issues. She is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Emperifollá, a digital platform that covers style and culture through a Latinx lens.
Born in Puerto Rico, Solá-Santiago has worked in media since the age of 15, including for such local publications Revista Ego, Revista Imagen, and Diálogo. She has worked on the staffs of People en Español, Remezcla, and Brut México and has appeared on camera as a commentator for People en Español and CNN. Her work has also been published by The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Glamour, Refinery29, Bustle and Numéro,among others.
Solá-Santiago holds an M.A. in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico.
