Julia Wolfe is a visual journalist at Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight statistical analysis news site where she does info design and data interactives.
Previously, she worked at The Wall Street Journal as a news app developer for the Enterprise Visuals team. Her work focused on long-term political stories, but she also covered breaking news, built templates, and ran workshops.
For seven years, she lived in Canada, where she worked at The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, and The Montreal Gazette. In Toronto, she volunteered at Ladies Learning Code, a not-for-profit that offers programming and web development classes in a safe, productive space.
She has won several awards, including the 2016 Statistical Society of Canada’s Excellence in Data Journalism Award and a 2015 SND award of excellence for digital design.
