Lisa Tradup-Flom joined the Newmark J-School as general manager of the Center for Community Media in October 2019. She oversees the day-to-day operation of the Center, assists the executive director with special projects, and writes grant proposals and reports for an array of initiatives, both local and national.
Most recently, Flom served as a strategic partnership consultant for nonprofit, media, and technology organizations. Prior to that position, she was vice president of strategic partnerships & business development at Women in Technology International, one of the world’s leading associations for women in technology professions. While at WITI, she created partnerships between nonprofits, universities and corporations, with a focus on underrepresented communities.
At News Corp, Flom provided specialized research and legal analysis to executives, editorial, and talent. She helped cover immigration, crime, and international stories, including the Arizona immigration bill, the earthquake in Haiti, and the Madoff investment scandal. She also served as a research adjunct at the Newmark J-School.
Flom earned a Bachelor’s in International Relations from San Francisco State University and a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
