Mary Pilon is the author of “The Monopolists,” a New York Times bestseller (Bloomsbury 2015) about the secret history of the board game, Monopoly.
She previously covered sports at The New York Times and business at The Wall Street Journal and worked as a TV producer for NBC Sports at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Fast Company, The Guardian, Medium, Smithsonian Magazine, Gawker (RIP), USA Today and New York Magazine, among others.
An honors graduate of New York University, she regularly appears on national TV and radio and made the Forbes magazine’s first-ever “30 Under 30” list for media.
A native Oregonian and fledgling marathoner, she currently lives in New York City, where she is currently working on her second book, “The Kevin Show.”
