Phanuel Llaverias joined the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in August 2015 after a decade of work in web and software development.
A member of the IT team, he oversees and participates in the design, implementation, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance of various in-house developed Newmark J-School applications.
Phanuel has extensive experience in building web-based applications. While he has worked for a number of industries, the majority of his career is in education. Phanuel has designed and developed several social and special needs applications for the profit sector. His work includes game and e-learning development.
He graduated from the City University of New York, CSI with a B.S. in Computer Science.
