Robert Lewis

Robert Lewis is a reporter at WNYC, New York Public Radio.

He received a George Polk Award for his 2016 series “NYPD Inc.” detailing the outside financial interests of top police officials. His 2014 series on police misconduct and use of force was awarded a duPont-Columbia baton.

Prior to joining WNYC in 2012, he was on the investigations team at Newsday. Before that, he was a reporter at The Sacramento Bee, where he was a finalist for a Gerald Loeb Award for a series on “hard money” lending. 

He has a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
