Setty McIntosh was named multimedia director of the Newark J-School in February 2021, a new role designed to strengthen the school’s visual branding.
A key member of the External Affairs team, he will lead the creative direction of videos and digital media assets and provide post-production assistance to staff across departments. He will also work with the school’s chief designer and social media manager to produce specialized designs for social channels.
He joined the Newmark J-School as a broadcast associate in September 2006 after working as an editor at Viacom. He will continue to support students as a broadcast coach and through specialized materials he prepares for them.
Setty has produced, edited, and directed multimedia content for U2, Usher, Jay-Z, and numerous artists in the music and television industry while maintaining a fledgling career in filmmaking and photography.
In May 2008 he launched Blacren.com, a website devoted to art, music, fashion, and entertainment, and in 2021, he released his first sci-fi short film, “ReUp.”
He graduated from the Borough of Manhattan Community College with an A.A.S Degree in Cable and Corporate Communications and Hunter College with a B.A. in Media and Film Studies.
