Tom Lowry is the editor-in-chief of Skift, a media company focused on covering the business side of travel.
He is a veteran business journalist, having worked across multiple platforms as a reporter and editor. Previously, Lowry was a senior editor for politics, the economy and real estate at CNBC Digital; the business editor of the News Corp. iPad startup The Daily; a senior editor at Variety, and the media editor at BusinessWeek magazine. His work in newspapers includes being a reporter for USA Today, The Daily News and the The Record in Bergen County, N.J. Lowry started his career at The Morning Call in Allentown as a night cops reporter.
He is a former Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Business and Economics Journalism at Columbia University and serves on the fellowship’s alumni committee. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
