Vince DiMiceli is an award-winning New York City editor and journalist, who for the last decade ran editorial operations at the Community News Group, the largest publisher of local newspapers and websites in New York State. He managed a team of editors and reporters across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx, and was the editor-in-chief of all Brooklyn editions, including The Brooklyn Paper, Bay News, Bay Ridge Courier, and Brooklyn Weekly, an insert into Brooklyn editions of the New York Post.
DiMiceli began his career as a reporter at The Brooklyn Paper in 1996, covering Bay Ridge. He rose to the rank of Senior Editor and Production Manager, and eventually oversaw the company’s transition from a newspaper that produced a website to a website that produced a newspaper. After The Brooklyn Paper was bought by News Corp. in 2009, DiMiceli was soon put in charge of all Brooklyn editorial. He also created and hosted a weekly podcast, “Brooklyn Paper Radio.”
A lifelong New Yorker, DiMiceli was born and raised on Staten Island, where he lives today in walking distance to the Ferry. His writings about “the Rock” have appeared in the New York Times, Brick Underground, and Streetsblog.
