Campus Tour
Join us for a student-led guided tour of our intimate campus. A campus tour is ideal for anyone interested in earning a master’s degree at the Newmark J-School. It is the perfect opportunity to explore and learn about the academic experience. The 30-minute tour will include a visit to the Newsroom, Broadcast Center, Radio Station and more, with enough time for Q&A at the end.

Why did you choose the Newmark J-School?: I chose the Newmark J-School after hearing about the supportive learning environment from my undergraduate professors and former classmates. I remember being told that the program is top-notch and would be able to learn a lot here, which I’m finding to be very true. This was the only graduate program I applied to because I knew that if I didn’t get in here, I didn’t want to go anywhere else.
One of the most helpful things I’ve learned so far: Network mapping for stories. In my Reporting Craft class, we learned how to map out stakeholders and sources for stories. The practice has really helped me strengthen my reporting. My reporting and clips are more intentional because of it.
What to Expect When You are On Campus
Guests are required to check-in with public safety on the first and third floors and provide a government-issued I.D. Although the campus tour will be held indoors, New York City can have fairly unpredictable weather patterns and humidity. We recommend checking the weather prior to scheduling your visit to dress accordingly. Please feel free to bring a reusable water bottle to take advantage of our filling stations throughout campus.
