Today marks the official debut of the new CUNY Graduate School of Journalism website, the first major overhaul in nearly a decade.
We’ve made it easier for different types of users to find what they need quickly through simple navigation pathways for future students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff. We’ve also integrated a number of analytic tools to help us improve the site over time.
We also took steps to make the site more accessible on multiple platforms and for people with disabilities.
The black and white photography is intended to gives us a distinctive, edgy look, setting us apart from other academic websites. “It’s a reflection of both our location in New York City, which has often been romanticized in black and white movies and photos, and our reputation as an innovative school,” said Dean Sarah Bartlett.
The new site was developed by digital agency Modern Tribe in partnership with a team of CUNY J-School tech staffers and editors.
