The CUNY J-School Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and the Deadline Club are sponsoring a seminar exploring how journalists can harness the world of social media. Drew Geraets, the CUNY J-School’s digital media manager, and Derek Tutschulte, its social media coach, will present an introduction and guide to the uses of social media.
Here are some of the topics to be covered:
* Networking professionally through social networks like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more
* Using social networks for journalism
* Managing your time online
The event is open to the public and is free for all current CUNY J-School students.
