“Simone is currently the editor of the Houston Chronicle’s award-winning Fuelfix.com, where she not only turned herself into an energy and climate expert, but also ran a team of writers, reporters and freelancers focused on the biggest story in Texas,” said Adam Kushner, editor of PostEverything. “Those skills will be crucial when she joins me and Amanda Erickson on our three-editor team devoted to recruiting sharp, timely, entertaining pieces from outside contributors on the entire range of topics – tech to politics, entertainment to foreign affairs, science to sports.”

Simone began her career with a two-year, three-stop Hearst Fellowship, ending at the San Francisco Chronicle—where she was hired as a full-time reporter. She covered education in the East Bay. She went on to the Columbus Dispatch, where she did investigations and began forays into digital media that culminated in a master’s degree at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism with a concentration in business & economics.
