What better way to kickoff the new semester than with some of the latest links from our reporters, past and present:

  • Josh Keefe’s story about a young Canadian hoops magician whose dunk video went viral made The New York Times. Joe Swide’s photo essay on Erasmus Hall High School’s football team also found a home with The Times.
  • Annamarya Scaccia’s look at the presidential hopefuls’ attention – or lack thereof – to disability rights made the New Republic.
  • Joseph Jaafari, on assignment for Vice’s Motherboard, reported on medical advances that could help injured soldiers father children. Angely Mercado looked at video games inspired by Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant comments.
  • Allison Fox, working for The Hechinger Report, wrote about a new STEM program aimed at girls and students from impoverished areas.
