Jose Bayona, ’11, has joined The New York City Administration for Children’s Services as Press Secretary, where he will serve as the main contact in responding to and engaging with the media. He comes to NYC ACS from the NYC Department of Transportation, where he had served as Deputy Press Secretary, since 2014.
Bayona, who studied Urban Reporting, credits the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism for his career success: “The J-School, provided me with the strength and knowledge to succeed at any job either in journalism or communications. I’m really proud to be part of the J-School family, who have helped me to get where I am today.”
The former NY Daily News reporter has also served as an adjunct journalism professor at Hofstra University and CUNY’s Baruch College.
