Sara Yasin is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Key, a Palestine-focused online publication, that publishes high-quality reporting, analysis, essays and poetry.

Before founding her own publication, Sara was hired as Managing Editor of the Los Angeles Times, with the aim of leading the newspaper’s digital transformation. There she oversaw the newsroom’s daily operation and worked closely with leaders to capture more readers in southern California.

Prior to that, Sara worked at BuzzFeed News for six and a half years, where she was instrumental in building new audiences and experimenting effectively to widen story consumption across all platforms. During her tenure as managing editor, BuzzFeed News won its first Pulitzer Prize in 2021.

She has also worked at a number of digital outlets, including Global Post and Mic.

Sara graduated from the London School of Economics and North Carolina State University.
