Simone Sebastian (’10) Wins International Reporting Fellowship

Class of 2010 alumna Simone Sebastian has been named an International Reporting Fellow by the International Center for Journalists in Washington D.C. The fellowship program is funded by the Ford Foundation and is designed to help minority journalists gain experience covering international issues.

Sebastian, an energy reporter for the Houston Chronicle, had proposed a project on the booming offshore oil industry in Brazil. She will travel to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in late March to spend two weeks reporting the story.
